Collection: Aurifil Color Builders 2021

Aurifil decided to focus its attention in 2021 on a valuable issue that would meet its goal of increasing its commitment to the principles of sustainable development and positive environmental impact, so it decided to support endangered species with this collection of sewing threads. The inspiration for this color collection of cotton yarns came from 12 stunning animal species that are in dire need of attention, defense and compassion at the moment. Aurifil seeks to bring out their stories, tell about their life struggle, and raise funds to help them by collaborating with Earth League International.

The 2021 Color Builders sewing thread collection was also created to bring out Aurifil’s first thread weight of 40wt. It consists of 12 mini collections, each containing three large spools of elastic and strong 40wt yarn - each in warm, plain and dark colors. The wires are on a green spool and their 40wt / 2ply wire is just as versatile as a 50wt wire, but a little stronger. It is well suited for sewing bags and clothes or when a more visible top or stitching pattern is desired. It is also our most recommended sewing thread for stitching and machine embroidery.

To support the situation of endangered animal species through Aurifil, we also brought this multi-purpose collection of sewing threads to Tilkkunen.
