Aurifil 12wt cotton sewing thread

Aurifil's 100% cotton 12wt/2ply sewing thread is their heaviest thread and is available in all 270 different cotton colors wound on red sides.

Use: Hand appliqué, hand embroidery, hand quilting, cross stitch, embellishment and lace, machine appliqué, reinforcement stitch, buttonhole stitch, machine embroidery, machine art quilting, sashiko, redwork, lower loop joining, long arm quilting.

Needle recommendations:

• 100/16 or 90/14 topstitch needle (in bobbin 40wt)
• 4.5 Longarm needle (in spool 28wt)

Tips:

• When using 12wt thread on the machine, we recommend using a much thinner thread such as 40wt in Poland.
• When using a Longarm machine, quilt slowly, using a longer stitch and silicone conditioners if necessary
