We sell products to adults as private individuals, as well as to companies, associations, and municipalities. Prices include VAT unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices, product range, and shipping costs.
1. Ordering
Products are ordered in the webshop by adding them to the cart and paying at checkout using the available payment methods. By placing an order, you accept these terms and conditions.
After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us.
If you wish to add products to a previous, unprocessed order, you can place a new order and select in-store pickup as the delivery method. We will combine the orders into the same shipment where possible. Please mention this in the order notes.
2. Payment and payment methods
Payment methods available at checkout may include Stripe, PayPal, and bank transfer. Payment information is processed in accordance with the payment service providers' own terms and privacy policies.
If you choose bank transfer as your payment method, your order will be processed once the payment appears in our account. You can speed up processing by sending a payment receipt by email.
3. Delivery methods and shipping costs
We deliver orders to Finland and selected other countries. Available delivery methods, shipping costs, and pickup options are shown at checkout.
In-store pickup is free of charge. Pickup orders are handed over to the customer or a person authorised by them.
Shipments outside the European Union may be subject to taxes, customs duties, or other official charges, which are the responsibility of the recipient.
4. Delivery time
We aim to process orders within 2–4 business days. Most orders are dispatched as soon as possible, often on the same day or the next business day.
If a delivery is exceptionally delayed, we will notify the customer as soon as possible. We are not responsible for delays caused by force majeure.
5. Product images and colour representation
We strive to present products as accurately as possible in the webshop. However, different screens and settings may affect colour representation. Slight colour variations between different production batches of the same product may also occur.
A minor colour difference alone does not constitute a product defect. If a product has a clearly incorrect image or does not substantially match the order, please contact us.
6. Cancellation before delivery
The customer may cancel their order before it has been dispatched by notifying us by email at sales@tilkkunen.com.
If the order contains products that have been cut to measure or otherwise specifically prepared at the customer's request, cancellation is only possible until the products have been cut or prepared.
7. Right of withdrawal and returns
In distance selling, the consumer has a 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with Finnish consumer protection law. The withdrawal period begins on the day the customer or a designated recipient receives the product.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must clearly notify us of the cancellation by email at sales@tilkkunen.com within 14 days of receiving the product.
After cancellation, the product must be returned without delay and no later than 14 days after the cancellation notice.
The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the product is defective or otherwise agreed. We do not accept returns sent cash on delivery or by similar means.
The returned product must be unused and in a condition suitable for resale as new. The product may only be handled to the extent necessary to determine its nature and function, in the same way as in a physical store.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to products that have been manufactured or cut to measure at the customer's request or according to the customer's individual specifications. Such products include fabrics, wadding, and other goods sold by the metre that have been cut to size.
Course registrations are binding unless otherwise stated. However, a course place may be transferred to another person by prior arrangement with us.
An uncollected shipment does not constitute a return or a cancellation notice. The customer is responsible for costs incurred by uncollected shipments.
8. Refund upon cancellation
We will refund payments received for orders covered by the right of withdrawal without delay and no later than 14 days after receiving the cancellation notice. However, we reserve the right to withhold the refund until we have received the product back or until the customer has provided proof of return.
The refund will be made using the same payment method the customer used for the original order, unless otherwise agreed.
9. Defective or damaged products
If an order has been lost, damaged in transit, or otherwise does not match your order, please contact us as soon as possible by email at sales@tilkkunen.com.
If the shipment is clearly damaged during transport, we recommend also filing a damage report with the carrier or Posti.
The consumer's statutory rights regarding defective products are not limited by these terms.
10. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by Finnish law.
Any disputes will primarily be resolved through negotiation. The consumer may also refer the matter to the Consumer Advisory Service or the Consumer Disputes Board.
