The outer fabric has not been washed, the flannel has been washed to account for shrinkage. After careful machine washing, let dry. Although the fabrics are of high quality, I recommend using color catchers when washing. Washing may wrinkle the blanket. If you don't like wrinkles, you can iron or mangle the quilt carefully.
