Lamination of fabrics is easy with Lamifix. Its finished glossy surface lets the glow of the fabric shine through.

The strong, durable and wipeable surface is suitable for beach bags, bath bags or to brighten up the outside of other bags.

Vilene Lamifix is ​​used simply by placing it on the fabric, on top of that a light kitchen towel and ironing with the medium setting from the center to the edges. Peek under the kitchen towel and check if there are any bubbles. Repeat as necessary to remove bubbles.

When the surface is bubble-free, put the kitchen towel back and, still using the middle setting, go through the entire surface with eight second iron presses again, moving from the center to the edges.

For perfect adhesion, leave it on the surface for a day before quilting. After this, you can treat the laminated fabric like regular fabric and sew it using the same methods.

How To Apply Vilene Lamifix

Simply place the Lamifix over your fabric, lay a Lightweight tea towel over the top and lightly iron (mid heat setting). Start ironing in the middle and work out. Remove the tea towel and inspect for bubbles. If bubbles are found repeat the process.

When there are no air pockets, replace the tea towel and, with your iron-on the mid heat setting, press for 8 seconds per area of ​​Lamifix. Work from the middle out.

For complete adhesion - allow to set for 24 hours prior to stitching. Once set, treat as a normal fabric and stitch as you would normally
