With the Clover fusible bias tape maker, you can create bias tape that has a thin adhesive strip attached to the back as you iron it. The finished 12 mm wide bias tape can be ironed directly into place without the need for pins or basting. It is especially handy for appliqué, such as stained glass-style quilting, Celtic designs, and curved stems and frames.
How to use
- Cut 24 mm wide fabric strips on the bias (45° angle).
- Thread the fabric strip through the tool and feed the fusible web into the guide so that it sits behind the folded tape.
- Pull the tool forward while ironing – the folds and the adhesive strip are set in one go.
- Iron the finished bias tape onto your desired area and sew the edges down by hand or machine.
