Aurifil 12wt 2692 Black 100% cotton thread for hand sewing

Aurifil 12wt Black (2692) is a high quality 100% cotton thread that is perfect for hand sewing, hand quilting, sashiko and many other craft projects. This thick and strong thread brings a wonderful texture to embellishments, lacework, hand embroidery and many other techniques. The roll has 325 meters of thread, and it also works perfectly for special techniques such as redwork and reinforcement stitches.

Recommended uses:

• Hand quilting and embroidery
• Sashiko and redwork
• Machine application and machine embroidery
• Lace decoration and buttonhole stitching

Needle recommendations:

• 100/16 or 90/14 topstitch needle (in bobbin 40wt)
• Longarm needle 4.5 (in bobbin 28wt)

Tips:
When using 12wt thread on the machine, we recommend using a much thinner thread such as 40wt in the polish for best results.
