Clover Huck Embroidery Needles – Special Needles for Swedish Embroidery
Huck embroidery (also known as Swedish weaving) is a technique where embroidery thread is woven under the raised loops, or floats, on the surface of the fabric – without piercing the fabric. This requires a special needle that can be lifted under the floats without the needle tip going through the fabric.
Clover's Huck embroidery needles have a curved and blunt tip, which allows for easy lifting of the floats and makes the work smooth. The long body and rounded tip are also suitable for darning, as the needle's length and bluntness make it easier to weave through wool.
