The genuine PFAFF Stitch-in-Ditch foot is an essential tool for quilting. The foot's guide runs along the seam, so the stitches are made directly into the seam from the top of the quilt, concealing them neatly.

Use a straight stitch or another stitch with a centered needle. If your machine has a manually raised presser foot, do not raise the foot to its highest position when this foot is attached.
