Matilda's Own Poly/Cotton batting is a soft and even cotton blend batting, suitable for both hand and machine quilting. Manufactured in Australia, this batting is made from a unique fiber blend that produces a particularly soft and full result. The batting contains no resins, sprays, or glues, making it a good choice for those with allergies. A fine scrim layer holds the fibers in place and prevents pilling. The wide 2.4-meter batting is sufficient for most quilt sizes without needing to be pieced.
The batting is needle-punched, meaning the fibers are mechanically locked together without chemical binders. This traditional manufacturing method produces a consistent, shape-retaining batting.
