Hi Wilma,
Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry to hear that you’ve had issues with the Sewline Glue Stick.
I understand your frustration. Currently, I am using it for the Queen of Diamonds project and have found it quite effective, especially for larger paper pieces and various shapes. It’s been particularly useful because I plan to reuse the papers and prefer not to sew through them, which can damage the paper, especially with larger pieces and different shapes. I am using for hexagons thread basting.
From my experience, the key to getting the best results with the Sewline Glue Stick is to ensure you apply the right amount of glue. Applying too little can cause the fabric to lift over time. Additionally, working quickly is crucial. Glue one side, stick the fabric down, and then move to the next side without delay.
I've also found that in hot weather, storing the glue stick and refills in the fridge can help maintain their effectiveness.
I hope these tips help improve your experience with the product.
