The Aurifil Color Builders 2021 series was created to showcase Aurifil’s soft yet strong 40wt thread. The series consists of 12 mini-collections, each taking its color palette from an endangered animal species – a reminder that these species need our attention and protection.
40wt is slightly heavier than 50wt thread, making it show up beautifully in quilting and decorative stitching, while still running smoothly through the machine. Each spool contains 1000 meters of thread.
