Clover Black Gold Quilting Needles Between No. 12 – professional needle for hand quilting
Black Gold is Clover's highest needle class. The needle is lengthwise polished and coated with an ultra-thin black layer for excellent rust protection. Black Gold needles pass through fabric with 30% less friction than ordinary hand sewing needles — the difference is especially noticeable in dense quilting work, where the needle passes through multiple layers of fabric.
The professional black coating allows the needle to glide into the fabric with almost no resistance. The body is exceptionally resistant to bending and breaking.
Between needles are short and thick — they are specifically designed for hand quilting, where the short body allows for dense and even quilting stitches.
