Marching Cats by Heather Ross features her typical carefree, pen-drawn style illustration: mother cats march in rows with their kittens safely in their mouths, and tiny kittens jump around doing their own thing. Shades of pink, coral, brown, and yellow stand out beautifully against a cream-white background, and thin green grass lines bring a light rhythm to the pattern.

The calm background color makes the fabric easy to combine—it works perfectly for children's blankets and sleeping bags, but also as a background fabric for bolder patterns.
