Hobbs Heirloom® Premium Cotton Blend 80/20 cotton/polyester batting is perfect for both hand and machine quilting. The batting is made from 80% natural cotton and 20% fine polyester, is needle punched and has a light resin treatment for extra strength and durability. Quilting with short stitch intervals produces a smooth surface, while larger intervals create a slightly raised quilting pattern.

Hobbs Heirloom® Premium 80/20 Cotton/Polyester Blend Wadding is recommended for use with medium to dark fabrics, as the cotton it contains is unbleached and its natural color may darken the tone of white, light, and pastel-colored fabrics when it seeps through them.

Quilting patterns should be done at four inch or shorter intervals. Shrinks 3-5% in the wash.

Pre-washing is not recommended for this, as well as for our other quality cotton pads from this manufacturer.
