Hobbs Heirloom® Premium Cotton is a high-quality cotton batting made from 100% natural cotton, which is ideal for both hand and machine quilting. The batting is made using a needle punching technique and has a light resin treatment, which increases strength and makes the batting easy to use even in larger projects.
You can vary the quilting result by changing the stitch spacing:
- Short sewing intervals produce a smooth, even surface
- Larger stitch spacing gives a beautiful, lightly embossed texture
The batting is unbleached, which is why its natural creamy cotton shade may slightly affect the tone of white and very light fabrics. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for medium and dark patchwork.
