Matilda's Own Pure Cotton wadding is made from 100% cotton, making it excellent for traditional low-loft quilting. The wadding is manufactured in Australia from high-quality, seedless cotton, which adds fullness and produces an exceptionally soft finish. The wadding contains no resins, sprays, glues, or binders, making it a good choice for those with allergies. A fine scrim layer holds the fibers in place and prevents pilling. The wadding is easy to quilt both by hand and by machine.
The wadding is needle-punched, meaning the fibers are mechanically interlocked without chemical binders. This traditional manufacturing method produces a consistent, shape-retaining wadding.
