Olympus Hana-Fukin Sashiko Embroidery Kit – Arare-Kikko Dark Blue
Bring Japanese craft tradition into your home! Hana-Fukin ("flower cloth") is a traditional Japanese cotton cloth onto which beautiful geometric patterns are embroidered using sashiko stitches. In this kit, the pattern is Arare-Kikkō – "hail shower and turtle shell". A classic pattern composed of hexagonal shapes, with small internal star-like details added – as if each cell carries its own little treasure within. The Kikō pattern symbolizes longevity and durability. The steady, repetitive rhythm makes embroidery a peaceful and meditative experience.
The embroidery instructions are pre-printed on the fabric – you just need to thread your needle and start stitching. The guide lines disappear in the wash, leaving only your beautiful embroidery.
The finished cloth is suitable for:
- Kitchen towel or napkin fabric
- Pillow cover, bag or patchwork
- Decorating clothes or home textiles
