Olympus Hana-Fukin Sashiko Embroidery Kit - Arare Kikko White
Bring home the Japanese tradition of craftsmanship! Hana-Fukin ("flower cloth") is a traditional Japanese cotton cloth embroidered with beautiful geometric patterns using sashiko stitches. In this kit, the pattern is Arare-Kikkō – "hail shower and tortoise shell." A classic pattern composed of hexagonal shapes with small internal star-like details – as if each cell holds its own little treasure. The Kikō pattern symbolizes longevity and resilience. The even, repetitive rhythm makes embroidering a peaceful and meditative experience.
The embroidery instructions are pre-printed on the fabric – you just need to thread your needle and start stitching. The guide lines will disappear after washing, leaving behind only your beautiful embroidery.
The finished cloth is suitable for:
