Olympus Hana-Fukin Sashiko Embroidery Kit – Kagome White
Bring home a Japanese craft tradition! Hana-Fukin ("flower cloth") is a traditional Japanese cotton cloth embroidered with beautiful geometric patterns using sashiko stitches. In this kit, the pattern is Kagome – an ancient Japanese "basketweave" pattern where interlocking triangles form a star-like network. The Kagome pattern has traditionally been believed to have a protective meaning.
The embroidery instructions are pre-printed on the fabric – all you need to do is thread your needle and start stitching. The guide lines disappear when washed, leaving only your beautiful embroidery.
The finished cloth is suitable for:
- As a kitchen towel or placemat
- Pillowcases, bags, or patchwork
- Decorating clothes or home textiles
- Framing as a wall decoration
The kit includes:
- Pre-printed 100% cotton fabric (white, approx. 34 × 34 cm)

Please note: Thread and needle are not included in the kit. Approximately 60 m of sashiko thread is needed for embroidery.
Care instructions: Hand wash in lukewarm water after embroidering and dry in the shade.
