Olympus Hana-Fukin Sashiko Embroidery Kit – Kakinohana
Bring home the Japanese craft tradition! Hana-Fukin ("flower cloth") is a traditional Japanese cotton cloth onto which beautiful geometric patterns are embroidered with sashiko stitches. This fabric features the pattern Kakinohana (柿の花) — the persimmon blossom. A beautiful pattern created with the hitomezashi technique, where small cross shapes are harmoniously repeated across the entire surface, forming a dense, textural whole.
Hitomezashi ("one-stitch sashiko") is a technique where the pattern is created by stitching first vertically, then horizontally — a simple rhythm, a stunning result.
The embroidery instructions are pre-printed on the fabric — you just need to thread your needle and start stitching. The guide lines disappear with washing, leaving behind only your beautiful embroidery.
