Olympus Hana-Fukin Sashiko Embroidery Kit – Shippoutsunagi White
Bring home a Japanese craft tradition! Hana-Fukin ("flower cloth") is a traditional Japanese cotton cloth onto which beautiful geometric patterns are embroidered with sashiko stitches. This kit features the Shippoutsunagi pattern – the design is formed by interlocking circles and is thought to symbolize harmony, good fortune, strong relationships, and prosperity.
The embroidery instructions are pre-printed on the fabric – all you need to do is thread your needle and start stitching. The guidelines will disappear when washed, leaving behind only your beautiful embroidery.
The finished cloth is suitable for:
- Kitchen towels or napkins
- Pillowcases, bags, or patchwork
- Decorating clothes or home textiles
- Framing as a wall decoration
The kit includes:
- Pre-printed 100% cotton fabric (white, approx. 34 × 34 cm)
- Illustrated embroidery instructions
Please note: Thread and needle are not included in the kit. Approximately 40m of sashiko thread is needed for embroidery.
Care instructions: Hand wash in lukewarm water after embroidering and dry in the shade.
Suitable for: beginners and advanced embroiderers.
